Instructions

  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
  5. Divide batter between pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  6. For frosting, beat heavy cream and cream cheese until stiff peaks form. Frost the first layer of cooled cake and stack the second layer on top.
