Ingredients
- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil a large pot of salted water; cook the jumbo pasta shells for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes; drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix cooked beef, ricotta, half of the mozzarella, parsley, and Parmesan until well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Stuff each shell with the filling and place seam-side up in the dish.
- Pour remaining marinara over the stuffed shells and top with remaining mozzarella. Cover with foil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes; remove foil during the last 10 minutes for extra cheesiness.
