Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and yeast in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center.
  3. Add the activated yeast mixture, softened butter, eggs, and condensed milk into the well. Mix until combined into shaggy dough.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough gently, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover again and allow to rise for another 30-40 minutes until puffy.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing.
