Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and cornstarch until combined. Add chicken breasts to the marinade and coat evenly. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165Β°F).
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet; cover with foil to keep warm. Pour remaining marinade into the skillet and simmer until thickened (3-5 minutes).
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, coating with the glaze. Serve topped with chopped green onions.
