  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather and prep all ingredients.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls using wet hands and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear meatballs in batches until browned (5-7 minutes).
  5. For the sauce, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  6. Pour sauce over meatballs in the skillet; simmer on medium-low for about 8-10 minutes until thickened.
