Description

Pumpkin gnocchi brings the warmth of fall to your table with its tender, pillowy bites infused with rich pumpkin flavor. This easy-to-make dish is not only visually stunning but also perfect for cozy gatherings or as a delightful side for your autumn feasts. With just a handful of ingredients, you can create a comforting meal that celebrates the flavors of the season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, egg, and salt until smooth. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  2. On a floured surface, divide dough into pieces. Roll each piece into ropes about ¾ inch thick and cut into one-inch pieces. Use a fork to create grooves on each piece.
  3. Boil salted water in a large pot. Drop in gnocchi and cook until they float (about 3-5 minutes). Remove with a slotted spoon.
  4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté gnocchi until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Sprinkle with Parmesan before serving.
