- 4 large bell peppers (any color)
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup Halal mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup Halal cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cut tops off bell peppers and remove seeds.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions until golden brown. Add garlic and ground meat; cook until browned.
- Stir in cooked rice and tomato sauce; mix well.
- Fold in half of the shredded Halal cheese into the filling mixture.
- Stuff each pepper generously with filling; top with remaining cheese.
- Place stuffed peppers upright in the baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to melt cheese.
