  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese (full-fat)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (fresh)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef; add garlic and onion powder until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and half of the parmesan until smooth.
  4. In a baking dish, spread marinara sauce on the bottom. Layer with 3 noodles, half of the meat mixture, half of the ricotta mixture, mozzarella cheese, and more marinara sauce. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and add remaining mozzarella and parmesan; bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
