Description

Oven Fried Chicken Tenders are your go-to recipe for a delicious and healthier take on a classic favorite. With a crispy, golden coating that gives way to tender, juicy chicken, these tenders are perfect for family dinners or gatherings with friends. Easy to prepare and versatile for dipping or serving over salads, they promise to impress everyone at the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 34 breasts)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and cut them into strips about one inch wide.
  3. In one bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  4. Coat each chicken strip in the flour mixture, dip it into the egg wash, then roll it in panko until fully covered. Arrange on the baking sheet without overcrowding.
  5. Lightly spray the tops of the chicken strips with cooking spray and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
  6. Let rest for a few minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauces or as salad toppings.
