- 4 cups day-old bread cubes (croissants or sourdough)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage or bacon until browned. Add onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened (about 5-7 minutes).
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Fold in the bread cubes and cooked meat mixture until well combined.
- Pour half of the mixture into the greased baking dish, sprinkle with half of the cheese, then add the remaining mixture on top. Finish with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
