Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir until smooth.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish. Pour half of the creamy mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes until potatoes are tender. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
