Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant (avoid browning).
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti. Add drained pasta directly to the skillet with garlic butter and toss to coat.
  4. If needed, add reserved pasta water for a silky sauce. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
