  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting (store-bought)
  • 1 cup candy melts (red or white chocolate)
  • sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake cool completely, then crumble into a large bowl.
  5. Mix in cream cheese frosting until well combined but not too wet.
  6. Form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) from the mixture and place on a parchment-lined tray. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Melt candy melts in the microwave in short bursts until smooth.
  8. Dip each chilled cake ball halfway into the melted chocolate and return to parchment paper. Decorate with sprinkles while still wet.
  9. Allow to set completely before serving.
