Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes washed and scrubbed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil optional for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prick each sweet potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  3. Optionally, rub the sweet potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Baking
  1. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Sweet potatoes can be served plain or topped with butter, cinnamon, or your favorite toppings.
