Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 8 large eggs preferably organic
Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning store-bought or homemade
Salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt for boiling water
Ice Bath
  • 4 cups ice for cooling the eggs
  • 4 cups water for the ice bath
Optional Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for garnish

Method
 

Boil the Eggs
  1. Fill a pot with water and add salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, gently add the eggs using a slotted spoon.
  3. Boil the eggs for 10-12 minutes depending on desired doneness.
Prepare Ice Bath
  1. While the eggs are boiling, prepare an ice bath in a bowl by combining ice and water.
Cool the Eggs
  1. Once the eggs are done, transfer them to the ice bath to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Peel and Season
  1. Peel the cooled eggs and place them in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the eggs and toss gently to coat.
Serve
  1. Arrange the Cajun boiled eggs on a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions and paprika if desired.
  2. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later.

These Cajun boiled eggs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
