  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies such as Oreos

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until well chilled.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
  2. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies to the mixture.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container, spreading it evenly.
  2. Cover and freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.
