Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked sausage (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
Stuffing and Baking
- Stuff each bell pepper with the cream cheese mixture, pressing down gently to pack it in.
- Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
