Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter over the peach filling in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
