Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Prepare the Filling
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Spread softened butter over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
Shape the Rolls
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one edge.
- Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the Icing
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Serve
- Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve.

For extra flavor, add nuts or raisins to the filling if desired.
