Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a variation, you can add chopped nuts or substitute the chocolate chips with butterscotch chips.
