Method
Marinate the Chicken
- In a mixing bowl, combine salsa verde, olive oil, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grill the Chicken
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Serve
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice the chicken and serve topped with chopped cilantro, diced avocado, and crumbled queso fresco. Serve lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the marinade or as a topping.
