Ingredients
  

Cakes
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably whole wheat
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, bread crumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the tuna patties to the pan, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  3. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or tartar sauce for dipping.
